Corberán: "The fans want to see a committed and dedicated team, and that's what they’ll get"
The Valencia CF coach speaks ahead of the match against Real Madrid CF
A pair of goalkeeping gloves, shinpads, socks, boots, photos of relatives, posters and messages, as well as masks and hydroalcoholic gel, are all items included in a time capsule that the different VCF Academy teams have put together to mark the one year anniversary of the COVID-19 pandemic and the day that football temporarily stopped.
Teams from the Prebenjamin to the Cadete sides, who were most affected by the interruption in training and competition since that fateful day, wrote messages of encouragement and reflection of the lessons learned, which will be preserved for future generations at the Ciudad Deportiva.
These young players have been exemplary in their demonstration of how to adapt to circumstances and maintain enthusiasm and joy. Their passion for football never waivered and they managed the situation responsibly and with determination.
The messages are dedicated to the memory of all those who have passed away this last year, and those who have battled against the coronavirus.
